Plot Holes

Tripping Into Them and Finding Your Way Back Out

I’ve been stuck on this one particular plot hole for quite some time now.

And recently - since keeping my promise to myself regarding daydreaming - I have finally found footholds that have allowed me to start climbing out of the dreadful pit. Now, my WIP is the type that will end up being a trilogy and this plot hole was really a part of book two’s storyline. I know you may think that it’s ridiculous to be so concerned with that when I haven’t even completed half of the first draft of book one, but it was weighing on my mind so much. And I find that knowing where I’m going with the main plot of book one makes it so much easier to continue on with it. I have now been able to draft an outline for the rest of book one as well as a very scarce one for book two and a general idea of book three. All of this assists with making decisions in book one that will help contribute to those and progress the plot.

There are still some smaller plot holes that I have yet to deal with, but I still have time for those. And they are not as much of a hindrance as this one has been. For now, I’m taking comfort in overcoming this obstacle and looking forward to moving forward even more now that the meddlesome plot hole has been cast from my mind. Now it is time to go write some more:)
